1. Equal Sharing

Share equally into groups:

Example: 12 รท 3

Share 12 cookies ๐Ÿช among 3 friends:

Friend 1: ๐Ÿช๐Ÿช๐Ÿช๐Ÿช

Friend 2: ๐Ÿช๐Ÿช๐Ÿช๐Ÿช

Friend 3: ๐Ÿช๐Ÿช๐Ÿช๐Ÿช

Answer: 4 each

12๐Ÿช รท 3 = 4๐Ÿช each

2. Repeated Subtraction

Subtract the divisor repeatedly:

Example: 15 รท 5

15 - 5 = 10 (1)

10 - 5 = 5 (2)

5 - 5 = 0 (3)

Subtracted 5 three times

Answer: 3

15โž–5โž–5โž–5=0 โ†’ 3 times

3. Using Multiplication Facts

Think of related multiplication:

Example: 24 รท 6

Think: "What times 6 equals 24?"

6 ร— 4 = 24, so 24 รท 6 = 4

Answer: 4

6 ร— ? = 24 โ†’ 4

4. Arrays

Organize into rows/columns:

Example: 18 รท 3
